Sunny Hill Festival 2026: Dua Lipa, Shawn Mendes and Peggy Gou Headline Pristina
Sunny Hill Festival, Kosovo’s flagship music event, has confirmed its 2026 lineup — and it’s arguably the strongest in the festival’s history. Taking place at Sunny Hill Park in Pristina on 31 July, 1 and 2 August, the three-day event brings together some of the biggest names in pop and electronic music under one bill.
Dua Lipa headlines the main stage — a genuine homecoming for the Kosovan-British artist who co-founded the festival alongside her father, Dukagjin Lipa. Joining her at the top of the bill are Shawn Mendes, Peggy Gou, Fatboy Slim, Anyma, and Mochakk, covering a spectrum from mainstream pop through to deep house and techno.
For visitors, Sunny Hill offers more than just music. The festival takes place in a city-centre park, putting accommodation, restaurants, and Pristina’s growing café scene within easy walking distance. Unlike many summer festivals that demand camping or complicated logistics, the urban setting makes this genuinely accessible for first-time attendees. Tickets are on sale via the official Sunny Hill Festival website; given the calibre of the lineup, early booking is strongly advisable.
Getting to Pristina
Pristina International Airport (PRN) is served by several European carriers including Wizz Air, easyJet, and Swiss International Air Lines. Flight times from Western Europe are typically two to three hours. For those already on a wider Balkans trip, Kosovo connects easily by road and bus from Serbia, North Macedonia, and Albania — our getting to the Balkans guide covers cross-regional transport options in detail.
Planning around the festival
Pristina is a compact and walkable city with a lively bar and restaurant scene centred around the Dragodan neighbourhood and the central boulevard. The festival falls during the hottest part of the Balkan summer, with temperatures in Pristina typically reaching the mid-30s Celsius — lightweight clothing and sun protection are essential.
If you’re building a wider trip around Sunny Hill, the walled Ottoman old town of Prizren sits just an hour south of Pristina and makes for an excellent overnight pairing. Our Kosovo travel guide covers visas, border crossings, and what to expect on arrival. For a broader sense of the region in peak season, our August Balkans guide runs through conditions, events, and crowd levels across all eight countries.
