Kraftwerk - Open-Air Concert

Kraftwerk’s 2026 open-air concert at ARM Stadium in Skopje is one of the more significant single concert events in the Balkans’ summer calendar. The Dusseldorf group — widely credited as foundational to electronic music, synth-pop, techno, and hip-hop through their recordings from the 1970s and 1980s — has been performing their 3-D Concert Tour since 2012, presenting a fully audio-visual show that projects 3-D imagery across the audience using bespoke glasses.

The Kraftwerk concert experience is not a conventional gig. The group presents a precisely sequenced programme working through their catalogue — from Autobahn and Trans-Europe Express through to Computer World, The Robots, and later material — accompanied by 3-D visuals that are synchronised to each track. Audience members wear 3-D glasses provided at the venue.

The show runs approximately 90 to 100 minutes without an interval and is closer to an audio-visual art installation in concert form than a rock or pop live performance. This makes it a distinctive experience regardless of whether you consider yourself a dedicated Kraftwerk listener.

ARM Stadium and practical information

ARM Stadium is Skopje’s primary outdoor concert and events venue, located in the city. Tickets for the concert are available through the standard ticketing infrastructure for Skopje events — check for confirmed ticket sales platforms when the concert is announced. Prices for Kraftwerk shows internationally have ranged from approximately 30 to 70 euros, though local pricing will be confirmed through official channels.

Skopje in late July is hot, with temperatures regularly above 35C during the day. The concert itself is an evening event, which improves conditions, but the open-air venue means it will still be warm. Carry water, and arrive early if you want a clear position near the stage.

Tips for concert attendees

The 3-D glasses effect is most impactful when standing or sitting at a reasonable distance from the projection — very close to the stage, the 3-D effect can be less coherent. The middle and rear standing areas give a better overall visual experience.

Public transport in Skopje is limited compared to Western European capitals; taxis or rideshare apps are the most practical way to reach ARM Stadium and return to central accommodation after the concert.
