Basic rooms at the canyon entrance are limited; check availability locally before counting on one. Getting from Skopje to Matka Canyon
By taxi (recommended): MKD 600β800/β¬10β13 from central Skopje. Journey time approximately 25β30 minutes. Any Skopje taxi driver knows the canyon. Arrange a return pick-up time or book a return separately - taxis wait at the canyon for return passengers.
By rideshare: Bolt operates in Skopje and often provides cheaper fares than street taxis. Check the app for current pricing to the canyon.
By bus + walk/taxi: Bus line 60 from Skopje City Bus Station to Saraj (MKD 35β45), then 6 km to the canyon. Useful only if you want to combine a walk through the Saraj area.
