Where to Stay in Perast 2026: Boutique Hotels & Waterfront Apartments

Perast has very limited accommodation — a small number of boutique hotels, a handful of private apartments, and nothing aimed at budget backpackers. The village’s entire historic core is the waterfront; all staying options are within a short walk of everything. All prices in euros (€); July–August rates are higher.

The standout luxury option in the village. A converted 17th-century Baroque palazzo on the waterfront, carefully restored and furnished to match its heritage setting. Key considerations

Book well ahead for summer: Perast has very few beds in total — Heritage Grand books out months in advance for July and August.

No ATM: There is no ATM in Perast. Withdraw cash in Kotor before arriving, or rely on card payment at the hotels and restaurants (not universally accepted).

Quiet at night: One of the most peaceful overnight options in Montenegro. The village empties of day visitors by evening; summer evenings are quiet and the bay views at dusk are exceptional.

Limited restaurants: Only a handful of restaurants operate in Perast. If variety is important for a longer stay, Kotor (15 minutes by car) has many more options.

Better as a short stay: Perast works best as 1–2 nights. For a week-long base in Montenegro, Kotor has more infrastructure and still gives quick access to Perast as a day trip.
